Date read from the hidden in-game countdown. Not officially confirmed — Rebecca Yarros has only said signets "manifest in May".
How to find the hidden countdown
- Finish a run at dragonkind.com and reach your dragon bond result screen.
- Click the artwork or the background of the result screen.
- A hidden countdown appears — players found it ticking down from roughly 219 days, landing around May 9, 2027.
What is confirmed vs. rumor
- Confirmed: the countdown easter egg exists and is reproducible; Rebecca Yarros has publicly said signets "manifest in May".
- Unverified: the exact date (May 9, 2027) is read from the countdown, not announced; what signets will actually do in-game is unknown.
- Also found in early October: 17 hidden "Onyx Storm Public Notices" easter eggs scattered across dragonkind.com — the community is still cataloguing them.
Why this matters
If signets unlock for bonded dragons, your current bond may gain a unique power in May — another reason the dragon you bond now counts. Still hunting yours?
